Something Like a Plan
My friends always thougght it was funny that I couldnt do/wash/curl my own hair. My case is more extreme than others. I got my first perm when I was 10. After that, my mother sent me to the salon every two weeks. Hence why I never learned how to do things like wash my own hair. In middle school I tried to make fringe bangs with black gel and water. After realizing that was a fail I just stuck to having a steady beautician. I learned how to wrap my own hair in High School and although I cant use a flat iron I can bump the hell out of some hair.
My current journey now until graduation is to re-write my hair story. I have been doing my own hair by myself (or with the help of my Best Friend) and not going to the salon since September. Thats a uge deal for me. Its all a part of my big plan to live a more simple and less flashy lifestlye.
Doing my hair myself is a huge matter of trial and error but now that I’ve mastered the curling iron and it finally grew back enough to fit into a bun I’m just going with the flow. I’ve made a few mistakes but I’m still in my prime. If you know little hair remedies and home concoctions I can try for moisture let me know! I’m already a little too thick for comfort so keep those away from me lol

This song brings me back to elementary school. This was back in the era when people used to print lyics, bring them to school and rap/sing all the lyrics. I really like her too. We always harmonized her part. Scared to know none of us 10 year olds knew her stuggle lol.

I swore UP and DOWN I was Mya. I had such an obsession with this woman. Im quite sure thus song got over 60 play per day from me when it came out. I used to put on a tube top and baggy pants to dance and sing around my living room with a make-shift mic. This is one of the first R&B/Rap song I knew all the words to and one of the first CDs I ever begged my mother to buy for me.
This song is my new obsession for some reason. I am pretty sure the video added to it. As always I love Bey :) Hopefully it becomes a MM
